Waste recycling operations on the spot

The M&J PreShred 4000M is the mid-size model in M&J's mobile pre-shredder family. It can be either track-mounted (on crawlers) or wheel-mounted (on a trailer). Suitable for versatile applications in transfer stations, landfill sites, composting and recycling plants, the M&J PreShred 4000M meets emission standards in both Europe and USA. It performs well under extremely tough conditions and processes waste containing unknown materials.​

Excellent uptime
​
The M&J PreShred 4000M features an open cutting table that allows stones and other hard particles like metals to fall through the cutting area. The open cutting table design and bi-directional shredding system increases safety and reduces the risk of malfunctions that may hinder operations.

All knives and parts exposed to wear on the M&J PreShred 4000M are made from wear-resistant steel, thus ensuring continuous and long-lasting performance. Bolts and bearings are conveniently mounted away from the cutting area, allowing for easy access and maintenance to reduce costly downtime.
Intelligent performance

The M&J PreShred 4000M can be adjusted to meet all waste processing requirements. Its bi-directional knife assembly runs both clockwise and anticlockwise with equal speed and torque. The shredder can change the direction of rotation when it encounters challenging materials, thus enabling self-feeding and eliminating the need for a pusher. The pre-shredder is equipped with an intelligent control unit that automatically adjusts shredding routines to suit the processed material. The control unit has 6 standard programmes and 2 custom programmes, allowing for tailored shredding routines for maximized performance.

Advanced design

The M&J PreShred 4000M has been designed for easy maintenance and seamless uninterrupted operations. Loading and discharge height parameters can be adjusted to ensure optimum performance even in challenging environments. The mobile pre-shredder has a large cutting table, two shafts and an aggressive heavy-duty knife assembly. The robust frame has been designed to require less power to operate, thus minimizing energy consumption without sacrificing output.

Great flexibility

Unlike the stationary pre-shredders, the M&J PreShred 4000M can be easily moved – even while in active use. They offer similar volume capacities, but with the added benefit of improved flexibility.

Thanks to its versatility and ability to work with bulky, industrial and other types of materials and shred them to small grain sizes, the M&J PreShred 4000M can be placed near collection points in a variety of plants and landfills. This significantly decreases the volume of the shredded material and minimizes transportation costs.
Flexible waste processing
M&J Recycling’s mobile pre-shredders use the same shredding technology as the stationary pre-shredders. This means that they are just as efficient as the stationary ones but can be easily transported at a production site or between sites thanks to the undercarriage. Different models are either track-mounted (on crawlers) or wheel-mounted (on trailers).
